Wangong is located in the Yiwu tea region of Mengla County, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. It is an important small-production area of Mansha Mountain, where ancient tea trees grow naturally in protected forest environments. The remote terrain makes harvesting difficult, contributing to the rarity and distinctive mountain character of Wangong tea.
Wangong tea is known for Yiwu’s characteristic fine sweetness and gentle texture. The leaves are long and dark with visible silvery buds. The tea liquor is rich and smooth, with a honey-like body that gradually develops into a clean and lasting rock-sugar sweetness.
